Well, Super Bowl week is here!

The Philadelphia Eagles blasted the Washington Commanders, 55-23, to advance to the big game. So, it will be the Kansas City Chiefs versus Philadelphia Eagles. I think that, talent and cuteness-wise, the Chiefs  win. It will be a kick in the ass. But it will be an exciting game to watch with a great half time show and two great teams in a great matchup. However, I have to say, over the last few years, as far as the greatest, and cutest,  quarterback in American Football, the torch has been passed from Tom Brady to Patrick Mahomes.  Mahomes is an all-time great. He has joined the likes of Bart Starr, Roger Starbauch, Dan Fouts, Joe Montana, Dan Marino, John Elway, Troy Aikman, Kurt Warner,  Drew Bledsoe and Brady among the all time greats. The game promises to be marvelous.

But so does the half-time show! Kendrick Lamar, John Batiste, Trombone Shorty and Lauren Daigle will be performing. They all have great, harmonizing voices. And Brady will be commenting from the sidelines!!!!

There is something more serious that I have to comment about: I received a petition to sign a letter to stop two California universities from allowing adults to change their gender on driving licenses and other legal documents. They even framed it by calling those universities clinics! I will not sign that! I understand everything about people not wanting children to have access to transgender medicines and actually have said that if we do not know the dangers these medicines pose in the future, then we should not have children take them. But banning an adult from changing their sex on a paper? No. Adults can, and should be allowed to, do as they please. It's called free will in the Bible. We might believe it's right or wrong but in the United States, people have rights.

Well, so speaking about other things, I really am a retro girl these days! Not only when it comes down to the music I listen to , which is mostly 1980s, mixed with some 1970s and some 1990s and early 00s, but also when it comes down to Television shows. I've been watching 2 Broke Girls a lot.l This show is not that new, It's from the 2010s and it's co-created by Michael Patrick King and Whiitney Cummings. King was the director of some Sex and the City shows. If we were 4, I'd call my group of friends the Sex and the City gir;;s. But we are five so we are the Spice Girls. So you know that SATC was one of my favorite shows! But anyways, back to 2 Broke Girls: I'ts about two women, one of whom loses her billions and ends up as a waitress where the other one works at and both end up sharing the same, broken apartment in a piece of shit apartment complex, along with the glamorous, championship race winning horse the ex-billionaire owns and which she cannot bring herself to selling. But, apart from the horse, all the glamour has left the former's life and the latter and her become closer and closer as episodes roll off. I always tell my fellow Spice Girl Jill that they remind me of my relationship with her! The way they joke and treat men, that is.

The other series I love watching is Beverly Hills, 90210. I used to watch that with my sister and all our friends back in the day! It was a great series that treated serious issues such as abortion, drugs, date "grape", suicide, divorce and others with respect and gave them their appropiate space in which teenagers could see them in a realistic if not always Christian or religious way. Sometimes we need to tell people that our religious beliefs offer them a way out and other times we need to educate them about the distinct realities of life that can and do happen. It's as simple as that. I believe in God and that He has the ultimate way out of all the problems, but at the same time, things like alcohol addiction, unwanted pregnancies, friendships, romance, etc, are not as black and white as we want them to be. They are as varied as the rainbow. Some television shows, movies and songs are created so we can learn by seeing things from the point of view and premise of their character and messages  and perhaps, create a better, fairier, world for everyone.

Another oldie but goodie I saw recently was the so-called "fight of the millennium" between Felix Trinidad and Oscar De La Hoya. Hard to believe this boxing fight took place 26 years ago already! Felix was a good looking Blacktino man back in the day, but Oscar was on another level. He almost looked like Superman! I remember all the girls back then loved him. As far as me, mythen- bisexual ass's attention was divided between him and Baby Spice of the Spice Girls. Oscar truly was the Enrique Iglesias of boxing.

As far as the fight goes, I gave each 6 of the twelve rounds this time around. It was that close of a fight! But the judges saw Felix win it, by a very close split decision vote. It still is a classic!

Next week, I hope to write more about movies, about the Super Bowl's after-game, and maybe some sex advice. God loves you! And so do we!

Marvelous!!
