Your girl Jeanette here hollaring for the .....12th and a half week in a row! You are probably just tired by now, and I don't blame you. I get tired of myself sometimes too! haha..and netrat..well, he gets tired of everyone. But we love him! Netrat is one of the best friends a woman can have. Maybe it's becaus eIm a CIF. But he doesn't get frisky with me.

Anyways, this is, as I just noted, blog number 12 and a half for me. I absolutefreakingly hate number 13. I am so superstitious about that number, that when I flew for the thirteenth time, in June of 2014 on an Alaska Airlines flight from my city to Seattle, when we got there, I sighed a huge sigh of relief. It didn't help matters that my nephew actually said, i kid you not, that he wanted to see a plane crash just as we boarded the aircraft! I love flying but my fear of that darn number overtook me a bit that day. it was actually one of the best flights I ever had but, I did not know how good it would be as we boarded!

Week thir..ehem...twelve and a half came with a lot of news and happenings. No major awards or anything but a lot of gossip, for sure! So, let's dig into it!

Lionsgate just announced that they will reboot the John Wick film series! Earlier in the week, Keanu Reeves had denied knowing anything about it, but that is to be expected because actors are signed to a secrecy pact in Hollywood. Even I was when I appeared on Eight Legged Freaks! I'm not a big fan of the Matrix series, but the John Wick series is really a great series, and I know that, like me, there are many people out there that enjoy these movies. And what about Keanu Reeves? Who can forget Reeves as dufus Bill in Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure? He has carved a long career that has gained him, rightfully, a place among the John Wayne and Greta Garbo's of this world as a Hollywood legend. When the latter film came, I was in a band we named Corporation S.O.S.. We as well as Keanu thought we were going to take over the world! Sadly, only one of us did and that was definitely not us!!! It was Keanu...

Ok...I've something to declare: I;m crazyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, ok, back to normal.....

Well, as normal as entertainment news was this week, that is...

A man in Peru survived getting run over by a train! Yes! You heard right! According to People Magazine, Juan Carlos Tello, 28, fell asleep near a track in Lima and got run over by a cargo train! A video surfaced on the BBC (which, after that infamous incident at another page last year, i now know there are two types of!) and on the Al Jazeera Arab television network, showing a man getting hit by a train as he lay down there. The man got up and, according to a train security guard, only suffered an arm injury. That should show him not to go out and drink with netrat anymore! Although I wonder what brand of alcohol he drinks? I once had a bottle of bacardi spice that put me to sleep until the next day but it was after stealing everyone else's drinks in the room. This was during the 2001 New year's eve and the last thing I remember from that is wishing everyone not to see any more airplanes crashing into twin towers! Bacardi spices will do that, but I'm not sure it will knock you so unconscious as to have a train run you over without you feeling it! Maybe Heineken does that? or Jill's favourite, Crown Royal?

Anyways, to the more serious side of this: it shows miracles happen and I am sure that God protected this man for a big reason! Let's hope the rest of his life is devoid of accidents, positively productive and filled with happiness!

Well, the recent Vanity Fair oscars party almost landed two women celebs in a different place at the desert: thanks to some comments made by a pair of television commentators, one of them, Hannah Berner, almost went into a boxing fight at the Caesar's Palace hotel ring with Grammy-winning singer Megan Thee Stallion! Berner and her best friend, Paige DeSorbo, were enjoying a conversation about music when DeSorbo said she always starts her days with Stallion's music, to which Berner replied that she only listens to Stallion's music when she needs inspiration before a fight. "Your music has literally made me, like....when I want to fight somebody, I listen to your music!" she told Thee Stallion straight to her face!

I mean, you have to admire her courage for telling her that, if that is how she truly feels about Stallion's music! I've met several celebrities just to get autographs and many of them are people whose work I really never enjoyed but in order to increase my autograph collection I hid that from them! But also, at the same time, while brave, this was also kind of dumb! I mean, who is she to criticize a singer? She probably can't even sing, herself.

So, looking at it from that side of the mirror, when Berner got flak (ok, a LOT of flak) over the internet about her comments, she deserved it quite right! Anyways, Berner apologized publicly after a few days, on her Instagram podcast.“Interviewing Megan Thee Stallion was a dream of mine. I love her music and It’s my go to whenever I need to boost my confidence before a show,” she wrote on March 6. “Looking back. at the interview, I wish I used any other word except ‘fight’ to describe how her songs impact me.”

She continued, “It was a careless choice of words and though there was no ill intent, I recognize and acknowledge that what I said has a deeper meaning and I am so sorry to Megan. I appreciate everyone who brought this to my attention.”

At least the girl woman-ed up after her mistake and that also takes a lot of courage! But ,girl, you better watch what you say: sometimes fighting words may lead you to end up boxing for real!!!

Michael Jackson's daughter, Paris Jackson, has also been on the news recently. The American singer, who is now 26, caused some controversy recently for her appearance at the Paris Fashion Week (not her fashion week, mind you, but the one celebrated at Paris, a certain French City that Paris Jackson was named after). Paris..uh, la la! The internet Spice Girls need to schedule a tour date there because I would love to see that city, and I'm sure Jill and Deb would too, although I'm also pretty sure Cindy and Courtenay have been there already...err, anyways! . Back to the topic at hand: Paris Jackson showed up in a Stella McCartney (you know, herself also the daughter of another iconic singer, Paul McCartney) dress which both was sheer and showed her watermelons. Now I know where Netrat was during that show! He sure loves sheer as do I, especially if they are white! (me too but I also like red!) The dress itself was elegant and it inspired awe, among other things! (*wink, wink!) Jackson told Page Six that she received mixed reviews and was hoping people would stop freaking out over her nipples. "I don't really understand why the human body is such a driving force for so much discomfort in so many people. Like, it's just a body. Like, just a body on a human, which is an animal. We look at other naked animals all the time. Don't get uncomfortable with our bodies. It's your body. You've got one. I've got one. We've all got one. It's ok. There's nothing wrong with it!" she quipped.

I get what you are saying, girl! But please do not compare seeing naked humans with seeing naked animals. There is a reason me, Netrat and billions of others do not get excited looking at bears, for example!!!!

Talking about fashion shows, our readers in India informe me of a huge controversy that happened there recently, when legislator Omar Abdullah, chief minister of the under territory of Jammu and kashmir (is that like a governor or something?) claimed that his government would have never given permission to a fashion show in the state. The problem is, he was talking about the Gulmarg Fashion Show at the fastous Hotel Nedous in the city for which the show is named after. The big controversy was because Abdullah, who is Muslim, made comments about the show taking place in the month of Ramzan, otherwise known as Ramadan, the Muslim Holy month, and the show's organizer was his first cousin!

Okay...maybe he really did not know about thie show's organizer being his cousin or, as is probably here, he did know but is just posing so his political career won't be affected? he and Kashmir's chief priest, Mirwaiz umar Farooq, both had very harsh words for the show.

Like, dude? Really? It's just a fashion show!!!!! take a chill pill!

Now, as far as the dresses and outfits displayed in the show, I would myself have harsh words for them, but I'm 52 already, and my fashion sense has maybe stayed behind in the 1980s? There was a model with what looked like a green construction hat on. Maybe that is just the new, young fashion looks?

Last, but not least....well, almost last but not least....Venezuelan model Aleska Genesis, 33, was arrested in Mexico, after being booted off a reality television show! Talk about double bad luck! The beautiful Genesis had a warrant for allegedly stealing three watches during 2022 from tycoon Francisco javier Rodriguez Borgio, a casino owner. She was in Mexico participating in La Casa de los Famosos All Star, which is the Spanish version of Celebrity Big Brother. Genesis had obtained permission to participate on the show despite the warrant, because, allegedly, Mexican police had no jurisdiction inside the house where the stars are staying at. But, they had been alerted that she was there and were ready to take her into custody once she stepped out of it. I mean, its like boxer Steve Hearon (born John Davis, but who, in a very clever moment of clarity, after he escaped jail, decided to call himself Stene Hearon, as in "from here on")...if you don;t want to be arrested by the police, do not become a famous boxer or get involved in a show that's telecast from the place where you have a warrant against you! Even I am smarter than that (ok...i think!)..anyways, this was a big scandal in the Spanish community in the United States this week, and a major scandal for Telemundo, the second largest Spanish channel in the United States and which is also seen in other countries. Genesis went on to her social accounts and said that this was a set-up by Rodriguez Borgio to harm and tarnish her image. She went to a Mexico City Women's jail but was released soon after, due to lack of evidence.

And now, last but not least! Please, Jilly, tell me that ...oh..never mind...ok, I'm going to agree with our 25 year old readers here, Harry Styles is super cute!! But, unfortunately for all of us, Jill, me and our 25 year old readers, the former One Direction member announced he is not coming to Las Vegas for a concert residency at the Las Vegas Sphere! The New York Times reported on March 7 that the handsome Englishman was coming to this side of the pond to sing for me and Jill....ehem...I mean, for all of us in North America, for 35 shows, if which me and Jill would have been to each and every one of them...ah shucks! it;s not happening! A spokesperson for Styles said that "to set the record straight, there has never been plans for Harry Styles to perform at Sphere!" on March 13.

And Jill and I had hopes of seeing styling Harry in person! I'm in tears!
